Boomin Barbershop
A Bay View barbershop, built to feel like the block it's on.
Overview
A five-chair barbershop operating out of a shared space with a Milwaukee print shop needed a site that carried its "community over corporate" identity — five distinct barbers, each with their own following, under one roof.
Scope of work
- Custom Next.js build
- Individual barber profile pages
- Per-barber booking integration (Setmore, thecut.co)
- FAQ section
- Instagram + TikTok integration
The Challenge
What we walked into.
Five barbers, five followings, one shop — and a walk-in-welcome model that still needed clean self-serve booking. A generic barbershop template would have flattened what actually makes the shop distinct: the people in the chairs.
The Approach
How we solved it.
Built individual profile pages for each barber with their own booking link, so a client following one specific barber can land straight on their calendar. Wrote the shop's "community over corporate" voice into every section, and added an FAQ to clear up walk-in vs. appointment questions before they become phone calls.
Outcomes
What shipped.
Barber-level booking
Every barber links straight to their own calendar — no shop-wide bottleneck
Walk-in clarity
FAQ section answers the walk-in/appointment question before it's asked
Local identity, not a template
Copy and design carry the shop's actual Bay View, community-first voice
Highlights
- Five individual barber profiles, each with a direct booking link
- Built around a real shared-space setup — the shop operates inside a Milwaukee print shop
- FAQ section built from the questions the shop actually gets
